Common use

Stendra, or avanafil, is a powerful medication used to treat erectile dysfunction in men of all ages. It’s a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, marketed and sold under the brand name Stendra in US.



Dosage and direction

Recommended dose of Stendra is one 100 mg pill before planned sexual activity. Though, the dosage may vary depending on the individual indications. However, the minimum effective dose is recommended. Patients should not take Stendra more often than once daily.



Precautions

You should consult your doctor before you use Stendra to treat your erectile dysfunction problems. The underlying problems may be of another type, which makes use of Stendra less effective than usually. Contraindications

Stendra (avanafil) shouldn’t be taken together with any kind of organic nitrates for the increased risk of hypotension. Nitrates can be taken not earlier than 12 hours after the use of Stendra. Any kind of hypersensitivity to the drug makes administration of Stendra impossible.



Possible side effect

Most common adverse effects of Stendra include headache (5% of the users) and flushing (up to 4% of the users). Other side effects of the drug are nasal congestion, back pain and gastrointestinal issues. Drug interaction

Stendra should not be taken with any organic nitrates, alcohol, alpha blockers or antihypertensives. The interaction can cause hypotension as a result of mixing those medications.



Missed dose

There is no negative therapeutic effect observed in patients who miss the dose of Stendra. The drug is not addictive, and has single-time effect.



Overdose

Don’t overdose the medication! Overdose of Stendra can cause its side effects to manifest at higher strength. You can feel dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue and other symptoms of overdoes. If you get flushes, headache or back pain, immediately contact medical care specialist for instructions.



Storage

Keep Stendra in a dry dark place, out of reach of children, at a room temperature.
